Growing up in Colorado, I was introduced to the enjoyment of the outdoors that the mountains have to offer. From an early age, I noticed the little intricacies of nature. This discovery lead me down the path of my college education in Natural Resource Management. From this education I learned to look at nature with a different eye.
As I continued my education and experience in the outdoors, I discovered the enjoyment of viewing nature through another lens. In college I discovered the joys of photography. I began to appreciate the works of Ansel Adams and John Fielder.
From there, I took my knowledge of nature and photography and melded it into what it is today. Although nature is my favorite muse, I have learned to see the beauty in past architecture, the forgotten and preserved buildings from yesterday.
Most recently, I have been taking photographs of the microscopic nature that the majority of us overlook or overstep on a daily basis. I find inspiration from the famous saying, "stop and smell the roses." I have taken this a little deeper and transformed it into a personal mantra: stop and look at the "macro" world that is around you, and now share it with all.
As my journey continues down this path, who knows what I will discover through my lens, but I am excited to follow that path!
